After a few minor construction delays, several trips to Ikea, Pottery Barn, Target, Home Depot and Bed, Bath and Beyond (including invaluable help from Lauren for a whole week!) and some last-minute projects and cleaning, we departed the house on July 3rd at 3:30, the same time the first guests were due to arrive. I must admit, it was very strange to get the house all set up and then leave. Â However, we are planning to return soon with our whole family so we will get to enjoy the finished house for the first time together.
